Kids Muay Thai

Striking fundamentals that build focus and respect.

Overview

About Kids Muay Thai

Kids Muay Thai teaches the striking fundamentals of “the art of eight limbs” — pad work, technique and conditioning — scaled for young athletes.

Beyond the skills, kids build balance, discipline and respect for coaches and partners, in a supportive, high-energy class.

Muay Thai asks more of a child’s balance than almost anything else they will try. Every kick is thrown from one leg, which means the whole sport is a standing balance drill disguised as striking. Children who do it tend to become noticeably steadier on their feet within a few months, and that is before any of the fitness shows up.

The formality around it matters as much as the technique. Muay Thai carries real traditions of respect for the coach and for training partners, and those are taught rather than assumed — children bow onto the mats, acknowledge whoever they work with, and are expected to look after them. Striking is done on pads and bags rather than on each other.

Why train Kids Muay Thai

What You’ll Get

01

Balance, Constantly Tested

Every kick is thrown standing on one leg. The sport is a balance drill wearing a striking costume, and it shows up in everything else they do.

02

Respect That Is Taught

Bowing on, acknowledging a partner, looking after whoever is holding the pads. The etiquette is part of the lesson, not decoration around it.

03

Pads And Bags, Not Each Other

Kids strike equipment. The technique is learned at full commitment precisely because nothing is on the other end of it.

04

A Full Hour Of Output

High-energy from the first minute. For a child with more energy than places to spend it, this is the most direct answer on the timetable.
